Graduation Cap & Gown Orders

It is time for seniors to order their cap and gown for graduation. All seniors must have a cap and gown to walk in graduation. If you think you do not need to order a cap and gown for any reason, please let Mrs. Stonehill know as soon as possible. Caps and gowns will be distributed at senior checkout in June.

Ordering Online

You may use MySchoolBucks to order your cap and gown online until March 21st. After March 21st cap and gown orders may only be placed in person.

Ordering In-Person

In person orders will be accepted in Room 1206 during the following WIN blocks:

  • Wednesday WIN1 blocks on 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, and 3/19

  • Friday WIN3 blocks on 2/28, 3/7, 3/14, and 3/21

In you plan on ordering in person, please print and fill out the Simple Measurement Form and bring it with you.

Payment

You will be required to pay your graduation fee when you place your order. This covers the cost of your cap, gown, and tassel.

  • The graduation fee is $45.00.
  • No credit cards are accepted for in-person orders. If you wish to use a credit card, you must order online with MySchoolBucks.
  • Checks should be made out to Newton South High School with "Graduation 2025” written in the memo space.
  • If you do not order your cap and gown by March 21st, you will be charged a $20 late fee.
  • If you have cap and gown from a sibling or friend who graduated from Newton South, you may use it, however you will still need to order a tassel ($15). You may also order a cap and tassel ($25).
  • No orders will be placed without payment. 
  • Need based financial support is available. Please notify your guidance counselor, your dean, or Mrs. Stonehill if you need financial assistance. If you are receiving financial assistance, you must come to order your cap and gown in person.
